New Delhi: Three days before Shah Rukh Khan’s 60th birthday, filmmaker Siddharth Anand is dropping cryptic messages on social media platform X. And fans can’t hold back their excitement. Their guess? The Pathaan director may just release the poster or trailer of King, SRK’s much anticipated period drama, which also stars his daughter Suhana Khan.
On Wednesday, Anand posted a cryptic one-word tweet on X: “REMEMBER.” Within hours, the internet went into overdrive. Fans were quick to connect the dots, speculating that this could be the start of a countdown leading up to King’s first look.
The tweet has already crossed 2.1 million views in under 24 hours, sparking wild fan theories and detailed breakdowns in the comments section.
Then, on Thursday at exactly the same time, 11:30 am, Anand followed it up with another tweet: “THERE IS.” That was enough to confirm fan suspicions, the director is clearly leading up to something big on SRK’s birthday.
According to sources, Anand’s tweets are part of a larger reveal strategy that will ultimately spell out the line: “REMEMBER – THERE IS – ONLY ONE – TRUE – KING.”
If that is the case, “Only One” will be tweeted on 31 October, “True” on 1 November, and the final “King” on SRK’s birthday, 2 November, along with either a teaser or full trailer of the film.
This isn’t the first time Anand has used cryptic tweets to stir up excitement. Earlier this month, on 9 October, he simply tweeted, “Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.” a move that now seems to fit neatly into his elaborate pre-release campaign.

SRK’s sword-fighting
Even though King is still months away from release, the buzz around it refuses to die down. Recently, a viral image showing what appears to be Shah Rukh Khan locked in a sword-fighting sequence sent fans into a frenzy. But, its authenticity remains under question.
The silhouette-style image, shared by an SRK fanpage, showed a suited figure, allegedly the actor, facing off against multiple armed opponents under dramatic yellow lighting.
However, several users have questioned whether the still is real. One fan even asked Grok, X’s AI chatbot, about its origins and the bot responded that the image appeared to be AI-generated fan art, not an official poster.
“No official visuals from King have been released yet,” Grok noted.
King marks the second collaboration between Siddharth Anand and Shah Rukh Khan after the 2023 blockbuster Pathaan. The film also marks the first-ever on-screen pairing of SRK and his daughter, Suhana Khan.
The cast reportedly includes an impressive lineup with Rani Mukerji, Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, and Abhishek Bachchan in pivotal roles.
While an official release date is yet to be announced, the film is supposed to be out in mid-2026.
