New Delhi: Whenever Sunny Leone is in Delhi, she doesn’t leave without a bowl of dal makhani. It is her comfort food.

“Whichever hotel I stay at, I have to eat dal makhani. Bukhara’s dal makahni has to be my favourite,” Leone told ThePrint at the launch of her new cocktail bar, Potions: Cocktail Theatre

Potions is her second venture in the F&B space. Her first restaurant, Chica Loca in Noida, celebrates its second anniversary this January. Both are collaborations with Sahil Baweja, founder of Singing Bowls Hospitality.

Perched on the top floor of the Manish Malhotra store in Ambawatta One, Mehrauli, Potions, will officially welcome guests starting 15 November.

Bringing back theatrics

At the cocktail bar, Leone promises not only big flavours but also the ‘theatrics’ that have been long dismissed by Delhi bars.

“We didn’t just want to open another beautiful bar; we wanted to create a space for performances, emotions and connections,” she said.

“The ‘cocktail theatre’ is about bringing back the drama and nostalgia to a night out. We’ve all had those moments where we’ve shared our stories of love, heartbreaks and adventure across the bar, and Potions is a celebration of that,” she added.

The food menu features a selection of small and sharing plates from Indian Tandoori and European Mediterranean Grills.

The Sweet Potato Steak tops her list from the menu. Leone also shared her five go-to comfort dishes from her everyday life.

“I’ll start with the bottom, which is the least healthiest, I love Mexican enchiladas, then pasta,” said Leone.

But, she also has a soft spot for salads.

“That’s something (salads) very high on my list. Because sometimes it’s hard to find great produce. And, I love food where I can taste every single flavour,” she said.

The other two things on her list are “anything that is baked” and “anything with vegetables.”
