New Delhi: Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule truly lives up to its tagline. ‘I am not fire, but wildfire’. The film, which made Rs 175 crore on its opening day, has sparked a frenzy across the Tamil and Telugu film industries. Actors, directors to screenwriters are posting rave reviews of the movie, which has replaced SS Rajamouli’s 2022 film RRR as the biggest-ever Indian opener.

Atlee, who directed the record-breaking Jawan last year, had a lot to say about Pushpa 2. “This movie really touched my heart. Your performance was outstanding. Congratulations on yet another blockbuster, Sir!,” Atlee wrote while addressing Allu Arjun.

He also acknowledged Sukumar’s direction, and called actor Fahadh Faasil’s performance as SP Bhawar Singh Shekhawat, ‘lethal’. Pushpa 2’s Hindi version beat Jawan’s opening day record (Rs 65.5 crore), with its collection of Rs 67 crore.

Prakash Raj, Arjun’s co-actor from the 2003 film Gangothri, penned a heartfelt post as well: “Having seen you from #Gangothri to #Pushpa2TheRule..what a self-chiseled journey..proud of you dear Allu Arjun. Keep pushing boundaries.” Gangothri marked Allu Arjun’s acting debut, earning him a Nandi award for Best Debut (Hero).

National award-winning director and screenwriter Krish Jagarlamudi gave a detailed review instead. “In Pushpa 2: The Rule, Allu Arjun doesn’t just show us what a hero is; he redefines what a hero can be. Every flick of his hand, every fiery glare and every dialogue he uttered is nothing short of unparalleled mastery of the craft,” he wrote. Jagarlamudi also predicted that Arjun would win his second National award for the film. The Telugu superstar had bagged one in 2022, for Pushpa 1: The Rise.

Actor Rana Daggubati also shared a review on Instagram. Calling Allu Arjun a “one-man demolition squad” in his story, he praised Rashmika Mandanna’s performance as her best so far.
