New Delhi: Veteran actor Kunickaa Sadanand was evicted from Colors TV’s Bigg Boss 19 just two weeks before the finale on Saturday. But she did earn labels ranging from ‘flipper’ to ‘root of all chaos’ during the show, from host Salman Khan.
Now on the outside, the 61-year-old is offering unfiltered takes on her turbulent run, defending her past with singer Kumar Sanu to calling out fellow contestants for “scripted behaviour” and “double standards”. Sadanand also shared her pick for the winner this season while addressing some of her controversial comments inside the house.
The Kumar Sanu affair
Sadanand’s past affair with singer Kumar Sanu was a hot topic of discussion when the actor was in the house. Sanu’s wife, Rita Bhattacharya, even gave an interview talking about how the affair was going on while she was pregnant in the 1990s. Now that she is out, Sadanand mentioned that she does not regret the affair at all. “Regarding my other relationships, with Kumar Sanu ji and others, sometimes I feel sad wishing they were with me now,” she said.
Fights with Tanya Mittal
During her stay in her house, Sadanand and influencer Mittal got into a showdown where the actor questioned Tanya’s “upbringing”. When asked about the incident, Sadanand maintained that the word she used was misconstrued. “Tanya plays the victim card often. My point was that if she felt hurt by something I said, she could have addressed it with me directly,” she said in an interview with The Hindustan Times after being evicted from the house.

Gaurav Khanna’s polished persona
Sadanand took a sharp dig at fellow contestant and actor Gaurav Khanna, one of the fan favourites on the reality show. She called his respectful demeanour a strategy, and that he is acting like his popular character, Anuj Kapadia, from the TV serial Anupamaa. “I don’t think that’s the real Gaurav. It’s a controlled version, like a well-written script—a well-thought-out plan,” she said.
“Two-faced” contestant
When asked about who she thinks is a two-faced person on the show, Sadanand named actor Abhishek Bajaj, who has already been evicted. She then detailed how Bajaj would call her ‘kitchen queen’ and heap compliments to make his tasks easier in the Bigg Boss house.
The ‘rightful’ winner
Sadanand was asked who should win the trophy according to her, and she responded that it should go to actor and activist Farhana Bhatt. The duo also shared a close relationship on the show. “The trophy should go to Kashmir,” the actor said with a smile.’
