New Delhi: With the conclusion of the fiercely contested 2024 Lok Sabha elections, ThePrint editors looked at the results of the general election and what they mean for the BJP-led NDA and the INDIA bloc of opposition parties.
Trends/wins declared by the Election Commission of India (ECI) indicated a neck and neck contest between the NDA and the INDIA bloc, with the BJP well below its target of ‘400 seats’ and the coalition of opposition parties falling short of its target of ‘295 seats’.
Polling for 543 Lok Sabha seats was held in seven phases between 19 April and 1 June.
