Kolkata, Mar 20 (PTI) The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCC&I) has signed an MoU with Intueri Consulting LLP and Indonesia-based Arthashastra Institute to establish a strategic consulting and research alliance for Indo-Pacific markets.

The tripartite pact, signed in Kolkata, aims to create a premium consulting and policy intelligence platform spanning the India-ASEAN corridor, the chamber said on Friday.

The alliance is expected to benefit MSMEs in West Bengal and across India by providing structured access to Southeast Asian markets, it said.

Kolkata is being positioned as the operational and intellectual hub of the initiative, the chamber said.

The alliance will operate across two pillars – strategic consulting covering cross-border investment, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, market entry, ESG compliance and government relations, and a research and thought leadership platform producing policy research, white papers and industry intelligence.

It is targeting operational presence across at least eight countries within 12 months, the BCC&I said.

Under the agreement, Intueri Consulting will lead on methodology, technology and global client management, Arthashastra Institute will handle ASEAN regional expertise and Southeast Asian expansion, while BCC&I will anchor Indian market access, policy advocacy and convening power.

A three-phase rollout will begin with building joint operational infrastructure and securing initial client engagements, followed by ASEAN market expansion and collaborative research publications, before moving toward consolidation and possible formation of a Special Purpose Vehicle or Joint Venture entity, the chamber said.

The BCC&I already operates a network of Southeast Asian Chambers of Commerce and holds the annual Indo-Pacific Economic Conclave with support from India’s Ministry of External Affairs. PTI BSM RBT
