New Delhi, Apr 21 (PTI) Atomgrid, a full-stack speciality chemicals platform, on Tuesday inaugurated a research and development centre in Bengaluru, betting on growing global demand for supply chain alternatives to China.
The facility currently houses 15 scientists and researchers, with plans to expand to 25 over the next 12 months. Its capabilities span route scouting, process development and technology transfer for commercial-scale manufacturing.
“India is at an inflection point in speciality chemicals. Global customers are actively looking for alternatives to China — but they’re looking for solution providers who combine innovation with execution. This R&D centre is our commitment to being that,” Siddharth Gupta, co-founder of Atomgrid, said in a statement.
The centre will focus on developing proprietary processes for active ingredients and patented formulations for global markets, targeting high-purity, cost-efficient products with process chemistry and quality systems suited to both regulated and non-regulated markets.
The launch follows Atomgrid’s USD 7 million pre-Series A fundraise, secured to strengthen its global footprint and R&D capabilities. PTI LUX HVA
