New Delhi: The India-Zimbabwe Joint Trade Committee (JTC) discussed ways to enhance bilateral trade in its third session in New Delhi Wednesday, a statement by the commerce and industry ministry said.
Both sides reviewed bilateral trade and said there is a vast potential for cooperation between India and Zimbabwe. The joint committee has decided to make concerted efforts towards enhancing bilateral trade.
The committee has also decided to sign a deal for digital transformation solutions, telemedicine, rough diamonds, fast payment systems, and traditional medicine, among other areas.
The JTC has identified other areas for enhancing cooperation, including pharmaceuticals, the geospatial sector, healthcare, machinery and mechanical appliances, vehicles, electrical machinery, mineral fuels, mineral oils, products of distillation, plastics and articles, iron and steel, agriculture and food processing, engineering sector, renewable energy, digital economy, textiles, capacity building, and other areas.
The committee has also decided to strengthen the cooperation between the investment promotion agencies and the chambers of commerce of both countries.
