New Delhi: India and Moldova held their second round of Foreign Office Consultations (FOCs) in New Delhi on Friday, discussing a range of bilateral, regional, and international issues.
Shri Tanmaya Lal, Secretary (West), Ministry of External Affairs, led the Indian delegation, while Mr. Sergiu Mihov, State Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, headed the Moldovan side.
The FOCs served as a platform for both nations to deepen their diplomatic relationship, which saw Moldova open an embassy in New Delhi in June 2023. Discussions encompassed political relations, trade, cultural exchanges, and people-to-people contacts. Additionally, the two sides explored avenues for collaboration in international and multilateral forums.
India and Moldova have agreed to convene for the next session of FOCs in Chișinău at a mutually agreeable date.
