In February 2025, Home Minister Shah fixed 31 March, 2026 as the deadline to end Naxalism in the country. As many as 2,167 Maoist cadres surrendered in 2025 alone.
On days when there is no court hearing, the house becomes her classroom. She has enrolled in a BA programme course at Delhi University’s School of Open Learning.
Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma's Hindu-Muslim polarisation is clearly done to maximise the odds of winning. But an important legal question is: does it expose him to legal liability?
As in 1971, the political leadership in 2020 did not get involved in military matters and gave the directive correctly, with the defence minister advising the Army chief, “Jo uchit samjho wo karo'.
On his report card as Rajya Sabha MP, ex-CJI Ranjan Gogoi told ThePrint: ‘I didn’t ask questions for the sake of asking questions…But there are several other areas where I contributed.’
Punch’s attachment to his plush toy is not based on its country of origin, but on the comfort it provides. Similarly, consumers prioritise trust and design over geopolitical labels.
A push to conserve groundwater has evolved into test case for climate finance, fiscal discipline & market credibility in urban local bodies—now more are betting on 'green' money to clean up their act.
Nearly ten years after the 2016 protests led by Kanhaiya Kumar pushed JNU into the national spotlight, students say the campus is confronting a very different movement now.

We need to build more cities. Why are we still stuck with British era cities? Hindu kingdoms developed their own capital cities, but all have declined into small towns. These need to be revived and these 1 percenters need to build villas in these new cities, than congesting Mumbai, an artificial island city.
Very well written article. As someone who spent first 27 years of life in India understands this. Even now when I visit, it is with the understanding that I have escaped.
What you say is largely true, but your writing sounds less like a piece in a respectable publication and more like a hate rant suitable for X/Twitter. What happened to editorial standards in The Print? A journalist should be able to write about bitter truths without sounding bitter herself.
On a different note, the SC order on stray dogs was a piece of farce on a level by itself. Nothing proves the collapse of local government in India better.
The author seems to be motivated to drive and Anti India agenda..what could be her motivation? Maybe she is from a family personally disadvantaged due to better governance in the country in the past 11 years

Truth be told, we Indians have no civic sense, and lack the humility to get down into the trenches to fix civic issues. Also with that being said author needs to know all riches are temporary..it will get destroyed in one way or other …nothing is permanent …even if we stay in mumbai/ cochin / new york or Melbourne money and wealth can’t be taken when we are dead..so live humbly without overthinking ..there are problems…your article is telling only India is suffering from this issue and rest everywhere things are super fantastic ..if there is problem it is becoz of congress and bjp again I repeat ..so please come up with more sensible topics
Never seen even a single article from this author that is positive. Yes, things are bad in this world, but that’s everywhere. People are leaving the same USA that Indians are aspiring as per this author, so singling out Indians alone is stupid. For a change, the author can also look at positives in life. We have enough negativity around already
