People go to his rallies with lots of hope and aspiration. Once they see him and hear him talk, they come back convinced that he (and his allies) is not to be voted for.
BJP knows this well enough and hence baits him to campaign hard in critical states like Maharashtra. The more he campaigns, the more things become easier for the BJP.
