From Mumbai to Dubai and the World: Varun Ajay Joshi Builds a Global Intelligence Brand

Born in Mumbai, shaped by an early belief in purpose and human potential, Varun Ajay Joshi is taking Space of The Greats Group into Dubai, the GCC, South East Asia and eventually a world without geographical limits.

There is something deeply personal about the idea of home for Varun Ajay Joshi. Born in Mumbai, Mr. Joshi grew up around a city where a home is rarely just four walls. It is security, aspiration, family, identity and the starting point from which people imagine a larger life.

That early understanding would eventually become part of a much bigger question:

What if the right guidance could change the trajectory of a person’s life?

And what if the same thinking could be applied not only to careers, but to organizations, real estate and the decisions people make about their future? That question sits at the heart of the journey Mr. Joshi is now building.

A Journey That Started With Purpose

Long before Space of The Greats Group began taking shape, Mr. Joshi developed an instinct for building initiatives rather than simply participating in them. During his college years, he began creating platforms and initiatives with ambitions that extended beyond conventional boundaries, including work that reached the ecosystem surrounding the G20. For him, the attraction was never simply recognition.

It was the possibility of building something that could create meaning at scale. That distinction matters. The pursuit was not merely “What should I become?” It was increasingly: “What can I build that helps other people discover what they can become?”

The Problem With a Predetermined Life

India’s education and employment landscape makes that question particularly relevant.

Recent NITI Aayog work highlights a substantial disconnect between education, skills and employment, noting that degrees do not consistently translate into matching employment and that many students make educational choices based on family preferences, examination scores and limited labour-market information. The implication is profound. A qualification can tell you what someone studied. It does not necessarily tell you where they belong.

That distinction became central to Mr. Joshi’s thinking around Career Intelligence. Through SahiJob, the vision has evolved beyond conventional career guidance toward helping individuals understand their abilities, environments, opportunities and potential directions.

The ecosystem today includes more than 100 institutional and educational partnerships and 330+ employment partnerships across Mumbai and Dubai, spanning more than 5,000 companies. The larger purpose is not to force people into predetermined definitions of success.

It is to help them discover a version of success that is actually aligned with who they are.

From Finding Your Career to Finding Your Place

This is where Mr. Joshi’s work begins to connect with his understanding of real estate.  A career is one way people construct their future. A home is another. Real estate is therefore not merely an asset class in this philosophy. It is deeply connected to identity, aspiration, family, mobility and the life someone believes they are moving toward.

Space of The Greats Group has been developing its Real Estate Intelligence work around this intersection of people, property, psychology, markets and decision-making. The question is no longer simply:

Which property should someone buy?

It becomes: What future is this property helping someone build?

Dubai: Where Chapter Begins

Dubai now becomes a significant part of that story. The group’s People & Culture Genius Model was developed through work connected to the Dubai real-estate ecosystem, where Mr. Joshi’s thinking around people, culture, psychology, property and decision-making began developing in a particularly international environment.

Today, the group is preparing to begin on-ground execution in Dubai, taking its intelligence work closer to the real-estate and professional ecosystems themselves.

From Downtown Dubai and Palm Jumeirah to Dubai Marina, Business Bay, Dubai Hills Estate, Jumeirah Village Circle, Jumeirah Lake Towers and emerging growth corridors, the opportunity is to understand the different human and economic forces shaping the city’s property landscape. But Mr. Joshi does not describe Dubai simply as an expansion destination.  There is a deeper idea behind it.

Mumbai was where the meaning of home began.

Dubai is where a global chapter dominates. And eventually, the philosophy is larger still.

The World Is the Home

For Space of The Greats Group, the idea of home is not meant to remain attached to one city.

The world is the home for the brand.

That belief changes the meaning of expansion. Dubai is not the destination. It is an execution ground. The GCC becomes a broader corridor. Indonesia becomes another major geography for the evolution and application of the group’s models.

And beyond these markets lies a global ambition: to develop intelligence systems that can travel across cultures while remaining sensitive to the people within them. The groundwork is now being laid.

Purpose Before Geography

At the centre of this journey is a belief that Mr. Joshi has carried from Mumbai into every subsequent chapter:

Purpose should precede direction.

Whether the question concerns a student’s career, an organization’s people, a family’s home or an investor’s property decision, the most important question may not be what is available. It may be:

What is this decision ultimately in service of?

That is where Career Intelligence and Real Estate Intelligence converge. Both are, at their deepest level, about human destiny. One asks where a person can contribute. The other asks where and how they choose to build their life. And both require something increasingly scarce in a world overflowing with information: clarity of purpose.

From One City to a Global Vision

Mr. Joshi’s journey therefore cannot be reduced to a Mumbai-to-Dubai expansion story.  It is a story about scale of thought. Mumbai gave him his first understanding of home.  College gave him the instinct to build. The G20 ecosystem gave those early ambitions a larger stage. Career Intelligence gave the question of human potential a practical expression. Real Estate Intelligence connected that question to the physical environments in which people build their lives.

Dubai now provides the next on-ground chapter. The GCC and Indonesia provide the next expansion horizon. And the world becomes the ultimate canvas. For Space of The Greats Group, the ambition is not simply to establish a presence in more countries.

It is to build a brand whose ideas, intelligence and models can move across borders while remaining grounded in one timeless belief: Every person deserves the opportunity to find the place, work and purpose that makes sense for them.

Mumbai was home. Dubai is the next chapter. The world is home for what comes next.
