CBI raid on Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia has a weary sense of predictability. So predictable – merits of the case notwithstanding – that it risks damaging whatever credibility Modi Government might still have with its agencies-led excursions. Its track record almost entirely is creating headlines, not proving anybody guilty.

Vijayvargiya’s ‘foreign women’ take on Nitish shows misogyny default setting of politicians

Nitish Kumar’s here today-gone tomorrow politics invites justified mockery. But BJP’s Kailash Vijayvargiya’s comment dragging the ‘foreign women’ comparison is odious. Attack the problem of political betrayal without invoking women’s sexual autonomy as a metaphor. Misogyny shouldn’t be the default factory setting of politicians who run out of words, arguments.
