Supreme Court’s order to amend the cooling-off clause for BCCI office-bearers reverses another distortion it introduced into sports administration. The higher judiciary is belatedly recognising and admitting that it can’t be interfering in or running sports bodies. It should now give up managing other sports bodies still under court control.
