The year-old PM Internship Scheme aimed to skill the youth and make them job-ready. But ThePrint report shows it’s floundering. Too few are joining internship positions and attrition is high. There’s a mismatch between the roles being offered by the industry and what candidates want. Restructure it for greater impact.

Renaming Raj Bhavans is window-dressing. Colonial mindset inside needs to change

Renaming Raj Bhavans as Lok Bhavans, as suggested by the Centre, is window-dressing. It’s an exercise in futility unless their occupants stop displaying colonial mindset. They’re increasingly undermining elected governments that represent the will of the people. Call Raj Bhavans by whatever name but don’t reduce them to political offices.
