The chorus of opposition parties against holding JEE-NEET exams next month is alarmist. With India’s Covid reproduction value falling to its lowest of 1.04, government is right to hold the exams. All parties, states should come together to help conduct these exams safely and ensure students don’t lose a year.

  1. “States should come together to help conduct these exams safely”
Transportation for the examinees and the concerned staffs are to be arranged by the respective state governments. Care must be taken so that the students do not lose a year.

  2. Unfortunate that you aren’t worried about the lack of transportation and safety of students ! Exam should be postponed for a few months so that govt. can increase centers and the flood situation is under control. We don’t have transportation and place to stay here in BIhar ! Please help the exam get postponed !

  3. “With India’s COVID reproduction value falling to its lowest”
Would like to emphasize your own point. Since the recovery rate of the country is increasing, why can’t they hold back the exams for some more time? So that the transmission rate would go down much further. Then why hurry now while nearly 70,000 cases are reported per day with 1000+ deaths?
If the examination is held at this point in time there is a change of again increasing the transmission of the disease. Then why take a chance?
Having waited so long already whats the problem in holding back a bit more?
