NSCN (I-M) doesn’t seem sincere in its desire to end India’s oldest insurgency. Its demand to remove Governor Ravi as interlocutor is another delaying tactic. Delhi will never agree to a Naga constitution or flag. It’s in the best interest of Naga people to realise this and reach a compromise.
I watched the Print interview with a senior NSCN leader with growing dismay. A Kashmiri leader saying one tenth of this would have been under PSA for life. The Indian Constitution and flag are non negotiable. What on earth – feel tempted to use a more coarse phrase – is shared sovereignty between two entities. We do not know what the agreement signed five years ago contains. Whether Governor Ravi is seeking to resile from previous understandings in light of the abrogation of Article 370. However, if that interview reflects the considered position of the NSCN, many more retired mandarins will be gainfully occupied working on this issue. 2. Articles 370 and 371 served a genuine need at a stage in our democratic evolution. With the passage of time, if India could outgrow some of those exclusivities, wonderful. Else, let them continue. As time passes, we will begin to realise the true costs of that decision of 5th August 2019.
Give them war They are not even Indians.
There is nothing in them that looks Indian.
Whole northeast would go on war
