Odisha’s arrest of defence analyst/writer Abhijit Iyer Mitra is dictatorial and North Korean-esque. You cannot jail people for making jokes, or for poor taste. This arrest is a particularly bad assault on freedom of speech since the person has already apologised. He must be released forthwith.
