One feels diffident to say this, but Dr Laxminarayan’s interviews – which really shook me up – represent the best science and assessment of the situation. There is no way the government would have shut India down, even more intensively than happens during wartime, unless something terrible was on its way. Each one of us should comply, of course, lekin taali aur thaali bajane se baat nahin banegi. This is absolutely the government’s – Centre plus states – hour of test and delivery. Perhaps the button should have been pressed one month back.
