Madhya Pradesh’s new rule enforcing a uniform dress code for college students is oxymoronic. The notion of college life is all about freedom from such school-like rules. Teenagers associate college life with freedom of ideas, expression and fashion. It is their first step into adulting, let’s not infantilise them again.
