Clamour by BJP candidates for changes in the Constitution is unsettling. If the BJP has a plan to make drastic amendments, it should transparently propose this to citizens and seek their mandate. Else, BJP should discipline party members. Indulging in doublespeak on Constitution undermines its sanctity and creates wider suspicions.
