The latest revisions in NCERT Political Science textbooks are troubling. Critical thinking must be developed in students but teaching them that political parties disregard equality to privilege minorities is politically loaded. Why revise textbooks piecemeal when a comprehensive curriculum revision exercise is underway? NCERT must remind itself of its autonomy.
