Killing of top-ranking Maoist, the first in decades, strikes at the spine of the Naxalite movement. Basavaraju embodied a murderous anti-democracy ideology for decades, drawing gullible tribal footsoldiers into violence. The government’s strategy to render the movement headless is working, aligning with the goal of Naxal-free Bharat by March 2026.
SIT to understand Prof Mahmudabad’s post is overkill. SC order borders on doublespeak
SC labelled Professor Mahmudabad’s post as “double-meaning” while granting him bail. This actually borders on doublespeak. There are no two sides to free speech. Bail, yes, but no commentary and foreign travel. An SIT to understand his post’s true meaning is overkill. Read between the lines of the order itself.
Asim Munir as Field Marshal is comedy gold. Even Ayub’s ghost is laughing from his grave
Asim Munir as Field Marshal? Comedy gold! PAF chief must be wondering if he missed the war. In India, you need to win actual wars and be legends like Manekshaw and Cariappa. In Pakistan, it’s more fantasy league than battlefield-earned. Even Ayub’s ghost might be laughing from his self-promoted grave.
The Print’s heart bleeds for Prof. Mahmudabad. The Islamist professor has been a known rabble rouser for quite some time. His incendiary posts have always targeted the Indian nation in general and Hindus in particular. Anyone wishing to understand his intentions can go through his social media profiles and see for themselves what he is up to.
In his classroom and in his research, he deliberately choses to denigrate and vilify Hindus painting them as bloodthirsty. All the while giving Muslims a free pass and absolving them of any responsibility for the partition of India. He indoctrinates young impressionable minds and turns them against the state and Hindu community.
No wonder The Print feels so strongly for this Islamist professor. People like him are the darlings of the liberal-secular media.
The glass is half full in that bail has been granted. It would have been filled to the brim if it had been accompanied by some really tough strictures as well.
Why is it comedy gold?
General Asim Munir seems to have been inspired by our very own – Mr. Rahul Gandhi.
The man could never manage to win an election for the Congress and yet he kept on getting promoted up the ladder. At least, Asim Munir could win the Pakistan election and install Shehbaz Sharif as the puppet Prime Minister.
Credit must be given where it’s due.
