Kolkata, Jul 8 (PTI) The body of a man was found in a canal outside an upscale residential complex in the Anandapur area of Kolkata on Tuesday, police said.
The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained, they said.
It is being investigated whether the man was murdered elsewhere and the body was dumped in the canal, they added.
“We are examining all angles, including the possibility of foul play. The body was found in a canal adjacent to a high-end housing society,” an officer said.
A case of unnatural death has been registered, and the body was being sent for post-mortem examination, he said.
