Dravidian movement goes to a long back to 20th November 1916 with an ideology to abolish the Brahmanical system and bring a social reform in Tamil Nadu and main focus was to bring changes to backward caste people who were treated as slaves during the Brahmanical system.

In 1967 Dravidian’s came to power since then Tamil Nadu has been ruled by them it will be either DMK or AIADMK. If we compare Tamil Nadu with other states in India, Tamil Nadu is far way developed, for this development Dravidian party played a crucial rule such as abolition of Hand Rickshaws, Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Project, Electrification of Urban Homes, Creation of as separate ministry for the welfare of backward classes and minorities and so on.

But in recent years we have seen so many backward castes people getting killed or hurt in Tamil Nadu incidents like Dalit man beheaded in Madurai district for being relationship with different cast, a Dalit boy and his sister assaulted by school students in Thirunellveli and many lower castes be it men or women if they are in relationship with an upper caste person they get killed or tortured to death in many villages in Tamil Nadu, not only this but there are lot of Scheduled caste leaders who are unable to do their job just because they are from Backward Caste, so how come the Dravidian ideology has been an success in Tamil Nadu?

Dravidian movement has been a diversion from the core issue of Tamil Nadu, the caste issues or killings in the name of caste pride has just been increased or not getting proper infrastructure nor providing proper job opportunities to most of the unemployed youth. The Dravidian movement is slowly getting converted into the same ideology of BJP just with one difference where as BJP want to bring Hindutva ideology with Hindu rulers but in the name of Dravidian the DMK is setting up for Family rule more like a king rule in name of Dravidian.

The administration of TN has been got very worse such as no proper number of police in Tamil Nadu no maintenance of traffic signals moreover cops are busy taking bribe under the shadow, instead of saying less police staffs why can’t govt recruit more cops which will help in reduction of unemployment. For vacant of teacher’s post is been conducted but not implemented, DMK is just escaping by providing 1 job per 1000 person whereas there is more than 1000s to fill.

DMK can’t just escape from their flaws with campaigning Dravidian in each election or each rally, instead of providing proper drainage system across Tamil Nadu, they are providing leave to schools or colleges and escapes from their mistake, when will the public realize that DMK is failing or just covering up with diversion.

DMK is slowly in becoming lethargic by thinking Dravidian will save them, but sooner or later they will get the backfire as Vijay enters into the politics and moreover don’t be surprised if VCK leader Thirumavalan breaks the alliance with DMK and join TVK or contest the 2026 election without any alliance

Will DMK go back it root ideology or change into the family rule?
