Dec 16 (Reuters) – President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that he is nominating Troy Edgar as the next U.S. ambassador to El Salvador.
Edgar was most recently a deputy secretary at the Department of Homeland Security.
“El Salvador is one of our most important partners in the region… Troy will play a key role in advancing our Western Hemisphere strategy,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social.
