BANGKOK (Reuters) -Thailand’s opposition People’s Party has yet to decide which camp it might back in the forming of a new coalition government, an official said on Monday, as two rival groups vie for its support.

The People’s Party, the biggest force in parliament with nearly a third of house seats, held a meeting of its lawmakers on Monday to discuss the issue and would meet again on Tuesday, spokesperson Parit Wacharasindhu said, adding its preference was for an early dissolution of parliament and a new election.

The party has said it will not join the next government.
