Bengaluru: A magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky region, Russia, on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The quake was at a depth of 10 km (6.21 miles), USGS said.
The U.S. National Weather Service’s Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii issued a tsunami advisory following the quake.
