New Delhi: Israel’s Ministry of Communications has said that it plans to fine the Israel Post newspaper more than $275,000 for closing three of its branches against a government order.
The government said the Israel Post closed the branches in Netivot, Rishon Lezion and Meitar in violation of a direct order from the Minister of Communications, Shlomo Karai, not to do so.
The Israel Post has 45 days to appeal the decision.
The decision was announced by the Israel Post in a statement.
