PORT-AU-PRINCE (Reuters) -Haiti will name Alix Didier Fils-Aime to replace its prime minister, Garry Conille, who was appointed to the role in May, according to a draft resolution by the Caribbean nation’s transitional presidential council, seen by Reuters.
The council will name Didier Fils-Aime, an entrepreneur, as prime minister, said the resolution, dated Monday, Nov. 11.
The resolution is expected to be published in the official gazette.
Haiti’s transition council in May tapped Conille, who also briefly led the country over a decade ago, to return to the role of prime minister as the Caribbean nation works to restore stability and take back control from violent gangs.
