PARIS (Reuters) -Caretaker French Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu said on Wednesday that the possibility of a dissolution of parliament looked remote, after he held rounds of talks with different political parties.

He said the talks showed there is a general willingness to get a budget passed by the end of the year.

“This willingness creates a momentum and a convergence, obviously, which make the possibilities of a dissolution more remote,” he said in an address delivered from the courtyard of Matignon Palace in Paris.

He added he will meet President Emmanuel Macron later on Wednesday evening to discuss the results of his talks with political parties.
