New Delhi: A GREAT UK Day festival was held in Guatemala. The event, organized by the British Embassy in Guatemala in collaboration with various organisations, aimed to showcase British culture and brands present in the country, a government press release stated.
The festival showcases various British products available in Guatemala’s supermarkets, pharmacies, car dealerships, and hospitals including tea, academia, innovation, technology, literature, and iconic dishes and drinks. Attendees also had the opportunity to participate in a number of activities such as a costume contest with icons of British cinema and music, a Gin O’Clock session with Beefeater, and a trivia game.
Johnnie Walker and Tanqueray offered masterclasses for participants. Sophos presented a ‘Once Upon a Time in the UK: Stories for Great Britain Day event’, as well as a tea time Infusion of Letters in London with Twinings: The Best Tea Experience.
The participation of Fontabella’s establishments and participating British brands allowed over 350 attendees to experience more of British culture, gastronomy, and art.
