On Friday, the President of the United States, Joseph Biden Jr., spoke with the King of Jordan, Abdullah II, said a press statement issued by the White House.
The two discussed the ongoing efforts made by Jordan to resolve the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, with the US President praising the humanitarian response of the Jordanian government in addressing this critical need, it added.
The two leaders also discussed the upcoming surge in humanitarian assistance during the ceasefire period, in addition to the situation in the West Bank and the US’s efforts to enhance the viability of the Palestinian Authority through encouragement of reforms and ensuring the PA has the revenues it needs to deliver for the Palestinian people.
The US President ended the call by thanking the Jordanian King for his friendship and affirming the unwavering US support for Jordan as a partner and ally in the promotion of peace, prosperity, and a more integrated Middle East region, said the statement.
