VIENNA, March 27 (Reuters) – Austria’s conservative-led, three-party government plans to impose a ban on social media use for children under 14, it said on Friday.

“Austria is introducing a compulsory minimum age of 14 for the use of social media platforms,” conservative junior minister for digitization Alexander Proell told a joint press conference with cabinet members from both of the other ruling parties, adding that draft legislation would be drawn up by June.
