(Reuters) – Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in a statement on Monday that he had asked a number of high-ranking officials to step down from their positions.

“The reasons for making such a request are not personal, but systematic, which I have spoken about publicly,” Pashinyan wrote on Facebook.

Russia’s TASS state news agency reported separately on Monday that Interior Minister Vahe Ghazaryan had resigned. It cited his spokesperson.
