The top IITs of India are offering MBA programmes through their departments of management studies. A total of nine IITs offer MBA programmes either regular/full-time or through distance/part-time. - CAT Score: A valid CAT score between 99 to 70 cutoff percentile is desirable for admission at IITs. Both CAT sectional and CAT general cutoff is applicable at IITs for MBA. However, the cutoff percentile is different for each IIT and is somehow based on their rankings of Management studies.
- Academic Profile: IITs consider both engineering and non-engineering candidates with the best academic record till graduation. Candidates are required to have passed their bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Science/ Architecture/ Pharmacy/ CA/ ICWA. They must have scored at least 60 per cent marks in aggregate.
- Work Experience: Having work experience at IITs is generally not mandatory. But, candidates with work experience of 1-2 years are preferred.
