BEIJING (Reuters) – China’s commerce minister expressed “serious concerns” to U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo on Tuesday over U.S. semiconductor policies toward China and restrictions on Chinese connected vehicles.
In a phone call with Raimondo, Wang urged the U.S. to address the specific concerns of Chinese companies and lift sanctions on Chinese companies as soon as possible, a ministry statement said.
Wang also said that clarifying the boundaries of national security in the economic and trade fields is necessary to help to maintain the security and stability of global supply chains, creating a favourable environment for bilateral business cooperation.
