The crisis also puts DGCA’s vacancies in the eye of the storm. Naidu told the Rajya Sabha in July this year that 190 out of 410 DGCA vacancies would be filled this year.
Data shows re-alignment in India’s exports, with Tamil Nadu & Telangana posting strong growth in 2024-25 as traditional heavyweights Gujarat & Maharashtra see declines. Gujarat still leads, though.
Of the total package, $649 million will be utilised for additional hardware, software, and support services, and the remaining for Major Defence Equipment (MDE).

The credit of maintaining and supporting democracy for a long period of 73 years goes to the people of India. To this effect I think the culture and the civilization of this wast country which has shaped her population is probably the cause of such unusual outcome. Indians by nature are peace loving “mild” people. (May be that is why they were also enslaved for such a long period.). This also sets an example for the world for universal existence. Who says an environment has no effect of the genetic makeup (DNA) of a community? Is epigenetic is at work in India?
“During these decades of independence, the country has been run democratically “. A very bold statement by Prof. Varshney but not surprising as he left India at at the age about of twenty years . Those who are old enough know that till the date Prof Varshney was born it was hero worship. During the period Prof Varshney was a student in now infamous JNU he experienced Post Hero- Worship democracy and refers to it as ” twenty-one months of the infamous Emergency from 1975 to 1977″. Subsequently an illusion of democracy was created by T.N.Seshan and he was dubbed as “The man who cleaned up the Indian electoral system”. This illusion persisted for a few decades and this was necessary to get the government that represents all who matter in India today. Now today we have a true Ram Raj , the government of the Brahmans , Khatris and Vyasas in that order that all the Sadhu , Sants dreamed of. Who needs Democracy ?

A government of laws, not of men. That ideal seems to have receded further over the horizon for India.
