Coming to your point about revenue loss , it’s absolutely fantastic. We need a smaller government, states have 2 lac crores to give out for DCT to win elections , so maybe stop them.
When the Indian government itself is engaged in MIPA, not sure how much more Trump can do. Right now India’s socialist government is engaged in redistributing wealth from the productive to the unproductive and making India poorer. Trump can hardly do worse.
If Modi can pass the land reform bill and the farmers bill even if he looses next election, india would be on the path of progress. But alas Modi like all leaders before him clings to political power at the cost of progress of the nation. Political power should not be the final goal of a leader but selfless service.
India has tariffs because of socialism, Nehru, Gandhi, MM Singh, and Modi; to rig the market and create artificial monopolies, to make the masses suffer with inflated prices due to reduced market competition.
