China flaunted military might & modernisation as it displayed stealth drones, anti-satellite system & cyber warfare contingent during parade to mark victory over Japan in WWII.
From Munir’s point of view, a few bumps here and there is par for the course. He isn’t going to drive his dumper truck to its doom. He wants to use it as a weapon.
The article written by a JNU professor, which is a known hot bed of traitors and the teaching faculty is also aiding with them. So this article is not an exception.
Islamists are the only in India creating problems. What Turky is doing is pushing all Islamists into Greece. Why Greece doesnot accept them. Iran, once upon a time drive away all Parsi xommunity out of that country and they took asylum in India. Why Turky, Malaysia, Indonesia are taking responsibility of Rohingya Muslims who have history of being cruel. All other minorities in India including, Christians, Jain’s, Budhdhists, Iranis, Jews are living amicably except Muslims. If muslim countries worry so much for these muslim lot, they shall ask them to their countries. There are 56 muslim countries and if each country takes about 50;lakh Muslims, the problem of Indian Muslims will be over and they will live in peace with their muslim brothers.
I don’t find any in depth analysis on the implications of domestic policy on foreign relations and policy. Eg: To which one, domestic or foreign should we give importance?.Unless we have stability within, will the Foreigners respect us? What was the policy of previous Govts? I feel Mrs.Indira Gandhi also gave priority to domestic policy despite opposition from some major powers.
Meddling of foreign powers in India’s domestic political issues became easy due to incidents at JNU, Jamia Milia etc and Shaheen Baug type of protests and finally the Delhi riots, which was essentially a major intelligence failure and mismanagement by police.
Modi is changing the power dynamics in domestic politics. The veto power on domestic political policies enjoyed through minority appeasement politics is being demolished with consolidation of majority community votes. Once CAA-NPR issues are resolved, the next confrontation will come at the time of NRC and UCC. Given the experience of Delhi riots, Modi will be careful in handling any opposition to it. With careful handling of any potential opposition, fishing in troubled waters by outside forces will be controlled.
In any case, noise by countries by Turkey, Malaysia or Iran or even Indonesia should treated with disdain it deserves. Opposition to CAA in USA and Europe is based on false premises and can be exposed easily.
The writer’s opinions are based on facts. It’s important that all facts and opinions are shared with the world. India is sliding backwards in consciousness.
No country allows illegals to stay. Islamic countries arrest the illegals and beat them first before deporting them. Western countries arrest the illegals, put them in prison and then deport.
What the column acknowledges is that costs, significant ones, are being incurred. Not serious enough to break off important bilateral relationships, but not adding lustre to our global image. Indian diplomats playing defensive shots, not to score runs, advancing vital national interests – as Shri Nitin Pai noted – but to avoid getting bowled or run out. Suboptimal outcomes for a nation which has so much catching up to do.
Absolutely. Very balanced piece. And dont underestimate the power of international pressure groups- just as Trump’s muslim ban has given a covert signal to other countries to do the same- similarly when international bodies ratchet up the pressure- the blowback builds slowly but its effect is swift and heavy
It’s not correct to call Trump’s ban on immigration from some countries a “Muslim ban”. It began under the Obama regime and relates to countries which either don’t share security information with the US, or which don’t have reliable security systems in place. The fact that most of these are Muslim-majority countries (with exception of North Korea and Venezuela) underlies the problems with Islam not being a personal religion but also a political-legal ideology.

Delusional opinions are far from facts. See mistreatment of fellow Indians in entire North India. It suffers from caste ism sickness.
Opinions are yours, facts are for every one.
