Punjab govt said there is no need for a ban on use of fire crackers as no part of the state falls in NCR and apprised NGT about measures taken for checking air pollution.
The Karnataka CM said the ban was imposed due to Covid-19 related reasons. Several states including Rajasthan, Odisha & Delhi have already prohibited the use & sale of firecrackers.
