The death toll due to the disease has climbed to 4,43,928 with 431 daily fatalities, while the national Covid recovery rate was recorded at 97.64%, according to health ministry data.
4.43 lakh deaths have been recorded so far in the country. Maharashtra (1,38,221) has logged the highest number of fatalities, followed by Karnataka (37,529) & Tamil Nadu (35,217).
