MULTAN, Pakistan (Reuters) – England defeated Pakistan by an innings and 47 runs on the fifth day of the first test on Friday.

Resuming their second innings on 152-6 after England’s 823-7 declared, Pakistan’s fate was sealed when they fell to 220-9.

Abrar Ahmed did not bat due to illness and Jack Leach ripped through the tail to finish with four wickets.
