HYDERABAD, India (Reuters) – England were all out for 246 in their first innings on day one of the opening test against India at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Thursday.

Skipper Ben Stokes, who elected to bat after winning the toss, was the top scorer for the tourists with a belligerent 70 that included three sixes.

Spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja claimed three wickets apiece for India in the first match of the five-test series.
