OMR is one of the fastest growing areas in Chennai, however the surprise is that we dont have drainage facility and no water connections. it looks like its happening in complete sync between Municiple corporation, private operators, auto, CABs, lorry operators etc. Seems they dont want the area to improve for their cheap monetary benefits. but a common man is the target. Looks like you being MP of the area is also ignoring the fact purposefully. Even after 15 years people still buy water ..no effort has been made to lay the water and sewage lines…wake up Mr. MP .. do your job for god sake…..have some courage to take action against the private lobby. get the water and sewage lines installed on this stretch of OMR. People are already loosing their patience.

I am located in Palavakkam and there is no drainage system. Everytime, when i ask i will get the same answer, it is in process. Can you confirm, when the drainage system will be 100% implemented. Everyone in Palavakkam, are spending average 3000/- per month unnecessarily and 3rd party vendors [Drainage Lorry Owners] are gaining more.
Will be voting in support of BJP.
Ward 10 of Sembakkam Municipality needs better garbage disposal, water supply and immediate drainage facility. Have been here for 35 years paying taxes regularly with no proper facilities.

We are awaiting Drainage Facilities for the past 30 years in Neelangarai which has been declared as Aquifer Area(Sri Kapaleeswarar Nagar.

I think doctors get most patients because of lack of personal hygiene. Dengue, malaria are wide spread as a result off proper sewage disposal and lack of drainage facilities.
Sir you have done good job. Especially delivered in your job in Perumbakkam and Sithalapakkam to OMR Road extention and other improvement in the area. We support to you in coming election being a young leader is need to this consitution to grow fast our life style.

From the very little engagement I had with Dr. Jayavardhan during a visit to his office, he was very respectful to the entire queue of people who came in to submit complaints. He listened patiently and thoughtfully. He agreed certain complaints were to be made to the local bodies but astonishingly very humble. I have seen politicians with attitudes , but he was humble and different. I think these youngsters are needed for our country to make a difference. My vote is for him as I have seen him first hand in action.

But, only 56% of MP Lads were put to use !! Chennai South has so many issues to be addressed and these funds should have been put to use !!!

– Water Scarcity & Rain Water Harvesting
– Enforcement & process changes to mandate waste segregation
– Adyar River cleaning and clearing of unauthorized occupation next to the banks

Why we’re the MPLad fund 25 crore allotted could not be spent fully. You have spent approx.14 crores only.There is no infrastructure of underground sewage water supply available in OMR areas of Perungudi,sholinganallur etc. There is coordination between corporation and Metro water.The new Road laid was dug upwithin 3 months to put water pipes and left out without relaying and remaining dug up for the last 4 years.Velacherry to St. Thomas mount rail system yet to be opened.Hope you would look into these.
Tamil Nadu when compared to other states has done creditably well excepting some sour points
Too much of opposition amongst own parties- not so good for a smooth governance. Our own people’s knowledge and attitude to a be s good citizen needs lot of improvement. We should all remember what we reap is what we have sown . Our MP should take it up in the Parliamentary level to bring sweeping changes in the basic education system to inculcate good citizenship behaviour early ( like in Japan/ Germany) . Also progress what the constituency wants ( as is brought out in various replies here)

Once upon a time, West Mambalam and Saidapet were famous for two different types of mosquitoes, one for the size and the other for its bite! Over the years, due to mushrooming of apartments, mosquito menace had come down substantially. But, in the past 3 years or so, there is an increase in their numbers, with mosquitoes reaching higher and higher floors of apartments, year after year. Pl. do something strong about this issue.
there is also this other type of mosquitoes which come in WHITE.
Its good initiative and have right inputs.
I am from this constituency, there is huge dump yard near to pallikaranai need to change otherwise create lot of health issues, I never seen any action in this regard. MP,s has to promote free education scheme by central government at CBSE schools, more than 50perc is still vacancies in most of the schools, Mps must connect people regularly. Not only election times.

ALL trains should stop at SAINTHOMAS MOUNT STATION so that passengers can board or alight . IT will be more helpful to passaegers from Vellacherry,Pour,Nanganallur,ADAMBAKKAM and near by with a radius of 5 k.ms They can avoid travel either from Tambaram or from Egmore.Thank you
Roads need to be taken care,Rain harvesting need to become mandatory.Traffic speed should be controlled in Residential side driving.Temple tanks must taken care on regular basis.

OMR is one of the fastest growing areas in Chennai, however the infrastructure is prehistoric, everything is run like columbian mafia , water , sewage, share auto, cab drivers, auto, street hawkers , hostels …common man has got nothing except misery . Even after 15 years people still buy water ..I am sure Bimaru states are much better ..need to see how long this wait will go on..wake up Mr. MP .. I know politicians have vested interests but also beware that public is running out of patience …
Could have been better if atleast one visit per year is made to the area of his constituency.
