He was CM of karnataka for some time in the musical chair which saw 3 CM’s during BJP Govt, which ran with the support of 6 MLA’s rounded up by the miniing baron Janardhana Reddy of bellary fame.He has the support of yeddyurappa, the state BJP chief, who sent him to Lok Sabha. He was embroiled in a controversy surrounding his son’s love affair and his reputation took a beating. He was a minister of state for statistics and planning in the Modi govt.He was earlier in ministry of railways and ministry of law and justice in the same Govt.He is contesting against Krishna Byre Gowda (Congress). It’s a Gowda Vs Gowda this time and Karnataka politics is typically caste fights between Lingayats and Vokkaligas ,the two dominant castes. Krishna Byre Gowda is a sitting MLA and minister of Rural development and Parliamentary Affairs in the present JDS and CONG coalition Govt. This time all BJP candidates are asking votes in the name of PM Modi. Only May 23, 2019 will tell !
He doesn’t even come to ask us vote him no point of seeing him in constituency..
I am from Bangalore North (Magadi Road Nice Road Toll). I have never seen our MP in past tenure. Still most of the places there are mud roads and no proper water supply. People are suffering lot.
Staying in hebbal constituency since last 13 years. I have seen every MLA visiting us some times. Regularly meet corporators. This is irrespective of their parties. But I have never seen Sadananda Gowda visiting us as MP in last five years. Keep in touch with citizens of your area. Asking for votes in the name of Modi won’t work for long.
Even I have not seen him.. Very bad performance.. BJP high command should replace him…
No development in North Bangalore- like Metro connectivity, good roads, sanitaries etc.,
well said
Hebbal needs one bua terminus, people struggle during nights to board Interstate Busses. Hebbal railway station platfoem ti be extended as most people walk on tracks. There is no community hall, sports complex, government hospital in hebbal. Hebbal lake can be developed as tourist place with all amenities. New MP need to look into these aspects.

Sadananda Gowdre
Come and visit often and understand the issues we are facing. Not visiting only during election. If you visit once in 5 years people make you as non-mp
It is applicable to all sitting MP’s
Do you believe in his constituency, that too in the area BBPM which called Ramakrishna Hegade Nagar ward developed lot without single Drainages, manholes, water facilities nor library. The big thing is we never knew that he is our present MP… On what base can we elect him this time….
Not seen this MP. Krishna byre gowda’s work on GST was lauded by Modi himself. Maithriya gowda allegations has already tarnished the character
Dear Sir,
Have you visited your constituency anytime during your tenure ?.
As an MLA KRISHNA BYRE GOWDA and his team will do work for the areas where they get votes more and even if we some request for the work.He will not do.
We can’t see him even the time of elections for campaigning in our areas.
First I request Mr.MLA to take around look into the constituency.Even his corporator also not visiting his wards..
I have never seen him in our constituency,
So many things are there to get develop in this constituency,
DEAR VOTER BE WISE THINK TWICE BEFORE CAST YOUR VOTE..
This is the only TIME We have if you MISSED You Need to WAIT after 5 Years so Please vote for right Candidate…
Hello,
I am not sure of the source of the information of the people who claim that no funds have been used/ mobilised from MPLADS. According to this website our constituency average was higher than the state average in Jan. Per a recent press release Sadananda Gowda is one of those few MPs in India who have completely spent the available funds for Public.
On another point, where few people claim “They have not seen the MP work” is subjective to individual bias as an MP is not a landmark which you come across in your daily routine to be seen in a particular place . Also it’s not clear what attempt was made by the individuals to reach out to the MP office before passing the comments.
I agree to the concept of having a MP with a clean record with right intent. At the same time we can’t remain oblivious to the fact that the potential MP represents which ideology and does that person have the influencing factors over their political leadership, as we don’t live in an unconnected island but are an inseparable part of India.
We are lucky to have two (at least) capable people vying for our constituency. I would rather not put a name of the candidate to vote and make it a campaign write up. Well, that is the essence of democracy isn’t it!
The role of our representatives in mitigating local problems gets narrower and narrower as you go up from corporation/municipality to the state assembly to the national parliament. At the ward level, you need a person who can run around, throw his weight around, and get the work done. He has no other responsibility. He should be the most accessible person for you. Your MLA works as a link between your Corporator and the state government for working out schemes, plans, projects and funding. He is less visible in your ward but accessible. But, the least visible but most important is the MP. He is not there to solve personal or local issues of the voters, but is meant for taking up the issues concerning national affairs while keeping the best interests of his state in mind. His accessibility becomes almost zero if he also works as a minister. He has to deal with all the States in matters of his departments. We elect an MP, not on the basis of how useful he would be to me personally but how useful he would be for the nation and its people. Naturally, he would be more useful if he belongs to the ruling party. Presently, only the BJP has that possibility. This is the only party that has given us a clear understanding that Modi would be the PM again. I think the performance of Modi has been very good – clean administration, development oriented, sober and non-corrupt. Here, we at least know what we are going to get from his leadership. Let us give him another chance by electing his candidate rather than groping in the dark for a better candidate whose party has no prospects of gaining majority and forming government.
We haven’t seen this MP at all in our constituency ……and his attendance and questions asked in parliament is proof of his work….we want change and a local candidate not somebody who is thrust on us…..we are electing an MP not PM….our vote is for local person and we feel Krishna byre gowda is best suited
Really hardworking MP,,,done excellent job ,,,with his limitation,,,, humble person,,,,easily aceesible,,,
He and his team has not seen in the constituency. And he is not able to point out the work carried out by him. As a candidate krishnabyregowda is a better candidate..
What are the contributions from Krishna byregowda for the state??
For those who questions the contribution of D V Sadananda Gowda , “yenu koduge yenu koduge”, here are some points as answers for the same:
1) Bangalore – Mysore Highway 10 Laning
The existing road of Four Lane Bangalore – Mysore Highway is being doubled to 10 lane and the project starts from Bangalore North Parliamentary constituency itself. This approval is obtained after Mr. Sadananda Gowda took up the matter with Mr. Nithin Gadkari after briefing him about the heavy traffic movement on Bangalore-Mysore Highway. The cost of the project is Rs 7200 crores for your all kind information.
2) Passport Seva Kendra
The first ever passport Seva Kendra in the Bangalore north loksabha and has been established in Jalahalli post office which has solved the delay in getting passports to a great extent
3) Maternity Hospital in Ganganagar
A maternity ward worth RS 2 crores was constructed at Ganganagar ward of Hebbal Vidhansabha constituency. Women have been facilitated by this to great extent
4) Renovation of JC Nagar Maternity Hospital by installing modern equipment and facilities
5) Salary to pourvakarmikas in the form of cheque, this avoided exploitation by the contractors and middleman
6) Special Importance to Railways in North Bengaluru
Development of major stations: Channasandra, Malleswaram, Lottegohalli, Kodigehalli Halt, Chikkabanavara, KR puram
7) As Chief Minister implemented Sakaala, an example for the nation
8) As the Minister of Law & Justice he has appointed 61 judges of High Court, 3 Judges of Supreme Court and 2230 Notaries. He has also found 1175 laws of the Nation Useless & Removed them
9) Establishment of Kendriya Vidyalaya and Hebbal Sky walk
First let the MP ask the voters what’s there requirement and match that with his performance. It would be a totally different picture. Completely useless as Railway Minister .
Then why is his Parliament attendance 0?
Because there is no data – Everything is zero however being someone who watches Lok Sabha sessions I have Mr DVS Gowda in parliament & as Railway & later Law & then as Central Statistics Minister he has done a commendable job
Our vote should be to the candidate who will represent the country.
Our country needs stronger and able leaders like Modi and to make Modi PM again we should vote for Modi.
D V Sadananda Gowda might look like a failure but has done good job from MP perspective, other works it’s the job of MLA’s and corporators and officers falling under this segment/constituency.
Their is no proper leadership in Congress and JD(S), JD (s) just has some real estate mafia and goons in Bangalore North which has to be cleared.
As educated person and a responsible citizens I would urge everyone to vote for Development and security of the nation that can only be provided by Modi/BJP and to support Modi we must vote D V Sadananda Gowda.
Well said sir
Mr. Modi is not going to solve your local problems for you. So do some reality check on those candidates standing in your constituency who has done real work and not just lip service. If there’s none, then there is always NOTA to opt for. This is the least an educated and responsible citizen can do.
Well said
I agree with your view point. Lets take holistic view of the good deeds done by Modi Government and bring them to power again. I am confident of seeing more good happening to all fellow Indians.
Very appropriate consolidation of present scenario by Mr Ashraf Khan.
Shri Sadananda Gowda is a well educated, civilized and seasoned politician. He is the best person to represent Bangalore North Parliamentary Constituency.
Two terms the BJP WERE GIVEN, 10 YEARS, first term Chandre Gowda, ex Congress, then Sadananda Gowda. Just would want to know where the MPLAD FUNDS were spent ? I have lived here for twenty years, neither have I have seen them nor their work. If their role is only policy making , then why have they not spoken a single word in Parliament. They were in Parliament when the BJP ruled the State , they could have done a lot , but nothing happened. Now to say MP is not the one to build roads etc, is defending the defenseless !
I think you stay in different locality or where sleeping when the Development works were happening.
I agree during DB Chandre Gowda time less Development had happened but still he has built roads near M.S.Engineering College which helped many students to commute, he also gave bus service to those areas.
During D V Sadananda Gowda time many Development works have taken place, from getting approval and lands from defence to construct road and other infrastructure projects for bangalorian on defense land. Got Bangalore Hosur rail frequency increased and maintainance of train timings.
Get your facts right or get information through RTI.
According to data collected by B.PAC, Bengaluru North MP DV Sadananda Gowda utilized 100% of funds, while Bengaluru Central MP PC Mohan utilized Rs 95% and Bengaluru South MP late Ananth Kumar 82% of the funds during 2014-2018.
We all need to see Modiji as our Prime Minister and hence we have to vote for the candidate representing Modiji. Also one thing I would like to point out here is, job of MP is not to develop lanes, Mohallas…..It is the responsibility of local corporator and MLA. We need to see as an MP what he has done for Bangalore North and his overall performance. Remember Sri Sadananda Gowdaji is also a central minister where he also need to contribute for the overall development of the country as well. I remember how KR Puram station was 10 years back, how was our Hebbal station and Lotegonnahalli station, Cantonment Railway station or Bangalore City Railway station…Now just have a look…He developed those Bangalore stations when we was a railway minister. As a law minister he unified lot of laws which were invalid in today’s world…There are many such examples I can quote…Vote wisely…Not emotionally.
Shri Sadanandagowdaji is the most accessible union Minister in Bangalore North. He has resolvedmany critical issues related to Railways, defence land & helped to build homes for homeless people. He certainly deserves one more win from Bangalore North.
I’m a hard core BJP guy, I’m staying in this constituency from 35 yrs, upon getting elected mr. S.Gowda has not even visited once to this area only during elections his team will visit else nothing, should we elect him??
SG doesn’t know the real issue in his constituency. There a railway crossing which is a nuisance with trains blaring horns throughout day/night. All it requires is an underpass. Totally useless MP who held Railway portfolio for some time.
The trains honks day/night due to manned railway crossing apart from emptying faeces on track when the train passes. Talks big about “Swach bharat” , but could not keep the tracks free of muck. Total failure to address peoples concern. Its all about some scemes/yoganas.
He is one of the most simple sober smart approachable honest person in the today’s politics. He doesn’t drumbeat his contribution. Be it talking over of defense land in Bangalore for development, cavery water affadivit, metro and subarban railway network, his contribution is immense. A well deserving person and best wishes
Vote for the candidate, not for the party! Ours is a parliamentary system, not a presidential system. We need to increase the quality of MPs and increase the standard of discussions in politics. That will lead to overall development in the long term. If you complain about him and still vote for him, then you are part of the problem. Especially when there is a much better candidate running against him.
I have been living in this constituency since Feb 2016. He did not visit his constituency except Bangalore Airport/ Malleshwaram -BJP office since last 4 yrs. Though he is Central minister & his contribution is zero. Why we have elect him again.?
His role was there in swapping army land with state, which allowed development in his constituency..I saw him in the constituency few times..
Also unmanned railway crossing..etc many works he has done…
Leave next to manned railway crossing in his constituency and the train blares day/night. All it requires is an underpass. Not to mention the loos from the coach empty out on track. What was the MP doing as Railway Minister and why would voters vote him if he is unable to fix these issue or is he callous enough not to take feedback from public who voted him. Booth will decide his fate. Really pathetic performance to solve real issue of public.
I have never seen him in my constituency,Only thing he does is to smile.
We are forced to vote for him because we need Modi ji as PM and not any other joker,if not for this reason any days Krishnabyre gowda is far better than sadananda gowda.
Vote for the candidate, not the party! We need to increase quality and expectations of MPs. We have a parliamentary system not a presidential system. If you are complaining about him and still voting for him, you are part of the problem.
by chance if i vote for individual person, who will be the majority?
I agree : Vote for the candidate, not the party! We need to increase quality and expectations of MPs.
Its been interesting to read all the comments which are rational and some were enlightening.
Vote for the candidate, not for the party! Ours is a parliamentary system, not a presidential system. We need to increase the quality of MPs and increase the standard of discussions in politics. Ask 3 questions when go for voting
1 Nation or party
2 party or candidate
3 candidate or money
Last is money, then comes candidate then comes party
and finally it nation is important
Since PMO and Modi are easily accessible through twitter and e-mail, you call them complain about your problems not being solved by MP and get redressed your grievances. But this was not the case during Manmohan’s regime. Here is chance for you to show your patriotism by voting to BJP
You are right , BJP should have replaced this useless MP. Not a second term.
Need to get BJP, one more stint at the Center to see something good for the country and to its entire population. Not to vote for one family to survive and loot.
No MP grants, not available to common people, your smiling face will not grab the votes, atleast share the works of Honble PM Modiji to the people of your constituency….. this election also we vote to BJP and Modiji, not to the failure candidate Mr Sadananda Gowda..sorry
Exactly , Modi should have replaced this person as was in Bangalore South. Doent know the real issue which the public face , forget about solving them.
For last five years sadananda Gowda was upscanding now suddenly coming to ask vote , so friends ask him first in which locality he is asking vote.
Only showing his teeth and smiling during elections. Let’s vote out this failure railway Mantri
No swach bharat in Indian Railways . All the toilets in the coach emply out on track. As ex-rail mantri totally inactive in fixing basic things.
There was a “Special Train” launched by this MP for tourism from Railways “Sukamangala Yatra” starting from Mysore/Bangalore to different parts of North Karnataka and Maharastra. All the staff were Hindi speaking boys who didn’t even know English and the passengers were from Kannada/South Indians. This is how Indian Railways caters to Non-hindi passengers in there own states.
MLA. in this area, Dr Ashwath Narayan is doing a better job is accessible.
Last five years we have not seen his face in our constituency, forget about devalopments.
