Patna, Apr 12 (PTI) Bihar Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, along with Leader of Opposition in the state assembly, Tejashwi Yadav, on Sunday condoled the death of singer Asha Bhosle.

Asha Bhosle died at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on Sunday at the age of 92. She was admitted to the medical establishment on Saturday evening due to chest infection and exhaustion.

“The world of melody is in grief today. The passing of the legendary singer marks not just the departure of an artiste, but heralds the end of an era. Her voice filled the hearts of generations with different shades of emotions, rendering every song of hers immortal,” Choudhary wrote in an X post.

May God grant peace to the departed soul and give strength to her loved ones to bear this immense sorrow, he added.

Sinha, in a social media post, said, “The news of Asha Bhosle ji’s demise is extremely heartbreaking and soul-wrenching. With her sweet and melodious voice, she left a profound mark not only on the hearts of music lovers in the country but across the world. Her contribution to the Indian music world will forever remain unforgettable.” Yadav described the singer’s demise as an irreparable loss to the music world.
