Bokaro (Jharkhand), Apr 13 (PTI) A 37-year-old contractual worker died after falling from a height while climbing on a crane at SAIL’s Bokaro Steel Limited (BSL) plant in Jharkhand’s Bokaro district on Monday, an official said.

It was not clear the height from which he had fallen.

The worker, identified as Ganesh Mahto, was taken to the plant’s medical centre and then referred to Bokaro General Hospital.

“But, he died during treatment in the hospital,” said Chief of Communication, Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL), Manikant Dhan.

Dhan said Mahto was a contractual worker and not a BSL employee.

He added that an investigation into the matter is underway. PTI COR SAN SAN NN
