Seoni (MP), Apr 7 (PTI) Two persons, including a woman, were killed after an unidentified vehicle hit their motorcycle in Madhya Pradesh’s Seoni district on Tuesday morning, a police official said.
The incident occurred near the Shrivani Filter Plant intersection on National Highway 44 under the Bandol police station area, 20 km from the district headquarters, they said.
The deceased were identified as Taruna Damahe (48), a resident of Bhandara in Maharashtra, and Prafull Thackeray (22), a resident of Rampaili in MP’s Balaghat, Bandol police station in-charge Manoj Janghela told PTI.
An unidentified vehicle hit their motorcycle and fled from the scene.
Janghela said that Prafull and Taruna died on the spot due to severe head injuries.
The driver fled from the spot after the accident, and a search is underway for him, he said.
The police have handed over the victims’ bodies to the relatives after post-mortem and a case was registered in this connection. PTI COR MAS NP
