Mathura (UP), Mar 10 (UP) A man disguised as a seer has been arrested for allegedly having unnatural sex with a 14-year-old-old boy here, police said on Tuesday.
He was arrested after a video of the incident surfaced on social media.
The incident occurred on March 6 when the accused, Kamal Krishna, who lived in a hut near the village and performed bhajans, called the boy and had unnatural sex with him, police said.
Jaint Station House Officer (SHO) Umesh Chandra Tripathi said that the accused threatned the minor of dire consequences if he told anyone about the incident. Frightened by the threat, the boy did not tell his parents, but a video of the incident surfaced on social media on Monday, the officer said.
The boy’s father then lodged a complaint against Kamal, who was immediately arrested. While the accused was being taken to the police station, angry villagers slapped him in front of the police, SHO Tripathi said.
He added that, seeing the public’s anger, the police team somehow managed to rescue him.
